Journal Filming the Club scene | 24.01.14
Today we filmed the club scene, the final chunk of our music video. As planned we used the drama room due to the black walls and the ability to manipulate it into looking like a club. For the DJ area we used the mini stage for Scott Garcia to stand on and for the DJ table we stacked two half cylinder blocks on top of each other. We then put disco lights on it and got a keyboard from music to replicate the DJ decks. Jack the media technician helped us set up the lighting to look authentic.
As you can see from the pictures we had quite a small amount of people but pushed them all closely together and framed the shot tightly to make it look busy and crowded. We used glow sticks and plastic wine glasses to make the scene look more realistic.Wednesday, 22 January 2014

Music Video - Poster creation
In a part of our music video we are going to have a bit where the rabbit finds these posters and decides to go to the club. On photoshop I created this poster which advertises the fake club which the rabbit will be attending. Dylan has also created a different version of the poster and we have printed them onto A4 paper and will scatter them on the ground in the actual music video

Journal 15.11.13
Today I have been working on my second draft of my digipak. I have been editing it according to the feedback I received on Monday. So far I have changed a few of my images in the collage as they were the same as the ones inside of the digipak, which on reflection doesn't look very professional. I am also in the process of changing my 'acknowledgements' panel as I think it is too text heavy and something else may be more suited there. I might have to take a few more images for my digipak as for these panels I may just have some images from around London that connote the 'urban/dance' direction that my digipak seems to have taken.

Journal 30.10.13
On the 30th of October me, Dylan and Kate travelled to London to do a test shoot. We wanted to see whether our ideas were actually do-able and not too ambitious. We took the opportunity of it being half term and good weather to get out there and do some practise shots. The shots that we got actually came out so much better than expected, which gave us the confidence that our idea would be able to work out. Some of the shots may even be able to used in our real music video as they were actually really successful.
The next step will be to complete our storyboards knowing that we won't have to change our idea at all. After doing this we will do our animatic and then be able to do some filming for real.

Music Video Test Shoot Wednesday 30th October 2013
these are some behinds the scenes and location shots of the test shoot we did for the music video. We wanted to test some of our ideas to see whether they would work for the real video. They were pretty successful and we may be able to use some of our footage in the real edit. This day was beneficial to us because it allowed us to ensure our ideas weren't too ambitious so it would be better to realise this now than when we actually came to do the real shoot. We firstly went to piccadilly circus to film the main dancing bit, then we headed to south bank for some more shots and then finally to the graffiti tunnels near waterloo for the final shots that we needed, over all it was a really successful day shooting.

Music Video Narrative idea
We created this video, which uses pictures found from google to illustrate how we want events to occur in the music video, with the our song choice playing in the background.

name audience response
this is the response we got from audiences. 60% of our responses chose Scott Garcia and the other names either got no votes or 20% of the votes. Going with our own instincts and based on this response we are going to choose Scott Garcia as our Dance act's name.

Brief - Dance Genre
In the lesson we were given a number of briefs to choose from, from all different genres of music. The one that we have decided to choose is 'Magma', which is under the dance genre. Commonly in the dance genre the music videos are quite creative and interesting and liked this idea as we wanted to make our video creative and quite unique. We all enjoy the genre so we already had an idea of what dance music videos entailed and therefore knew what sort of image we wanted to create. We decided that we were going to change parts of the Brief as we wanted to call the artist something different and had a different song in mind to the ones on the sheet. So we will be making some adaptations to the brief to make it exactly into how we want our artist to be portrayed
